Just recovered from the Freedom Festival in Provo. I love the 4th of July--mostly because I love our country and the freedoms we enjoy. I love the pride people from every walk of life display in the country, from the flag shirts to the stripped hair style. And who doesn't love barbecues and fireworks? Let me know your favorite part of the 4th of July. Thanks Kathryn Ursenbach Photography 208-475-4577 for the cute picture
MY favorite part of the 4th of July is that it's the only holiday of the year that my husband and I have all five of our children with us, together, at the same time! We spend time together, hang up our flag and enjoy our freedom and independence. The fireworks, food and millions of fun pictures, are icing on the cake!

Ever since I was a little girl we would go to to Stadium of Fire. I remember the anticipation of waiting for the jets to fly over after the national anthem was sung. I would always get a lump in my throat, and tears in my eyes. To this day I still get the chills watching them fly over. It is such a rush watching them fly past! I really think that besides the food, and family that is the best part of the day!

The best part of the 4th of July is firecracker popsicles, with unnecessarily large hair accessories for little girls coming in at a close second. Actually, I am so thankful to live in a country that allows me to have so many freedoms. It isn't often that we think about how different our lives would be if we lived somewhere else; we truly are blessed.
ReplyDelete4th of July is great because:
ReplyDelete1. Nobody really works that day
2. Good food
3. Cuddling during fireworks
4. Parades
5. The throat swelling feeling of watching the flag go by in the parades.
Other people cooking for me.
ReplyDeleteAnd I like all the other stuff too
